What We Love
We like PGA West for its precision. The golf is serious, but the life around it stays easy. Mornings begin on the course, the Santa Rosa Mountains hold the light, and by late afternoon the whole place softens into a slower rhythm. Guests may come for tee times and tournament history, but they stay for pool hours that turn into evening, dinner in Old Town La Quinta, and the kind of desert calm that feels earned. Our homes here are for guests who want that balance. Strong golf, warm winter sun, and a stay that still feels personal.
The homes we look after at PGA West sit on the fairway, at the mountain's edge, or overlooking the resort's championship grounds. We are grateful to every owner who has chosen us to steward theirs.

Local Treasures
A few of the moments that travel home with people, beyond the tee times. Scroll across. There's more than one way to spend a desert afternoon.
Late afternoon
The most photographed par-3 in professional golf turns rose-gold around 3 p.m. in winter. Walk it, watch a group play it, or just sit at the lake bar and let the light do the work.
A short drive
Six minutes off-property and the entire pace of the day shifts. Dinners that run long, an artisan market on Sunday mornings, and the kind of small-town main street that feels deliberate.
Worth the early start
The Indian Canyons reservation opens early in the cooler months. A two-mile loop along a real desert stream, palm groves shading the trail, and the valley spread out behind you on the way back down.
A slower kind of morning
Most resorts hold the morning class on a deck above the desert floor. Forty-five minutes, the mountains warming behind you, and the day starts in a register most travel weekends never reach.
Worth the detour
Twenty minutes west, in Indio: a working date farm running since 1924, a date shake that has its own small mythology, and a garden walk no one warned you would be that good. Skip the gift shop, find the back orchard.
After dark
Drive twelve minutes south of the resort and the sky opens up. The Coachella Valley sits between two mountain ranges that block coastal light, so the stars on a clear winter night carry weight you forget exists in cities. Bring a blanket; the desert cools fast.

Before You Book
A few things guests ask us most often before they choose their stay.
Not at all. Golf sets the rhythm here, but many guests come for winter sun, pool afternoons, quiet mornings, dinners in La Quinta, and the feeling of having the mountains close all day. PGA West works well for golfers, couples, families, and longer seasonal stays.
Pool heating is not automatically included. At homes where it is available, it is offered as an optional add-on and additional heating fees apply. The amount varies by property, and we will always let you know the exact cost in advance.
No. Golf at PGA West is not automatically included with your reservation. There are resort courses that can be booked with paid tee times, along with private courses reserved for club access. If golf is a priority for your trip, we recommend securing tee times as early as possible.
Earlier than you think. Prime morning times move first, especially in winter and around tournament season. Once your stay is confirmed, it is worth booking your golf plans right away.
For a more polished dinner, we often point guests toward Morgan's in the Desert. For an evening in Old Town La Quinta, RD RNNR, DSRT CLUB, and The Grill on Main are good places to start. If you tell us what kind of night you want, date night, lively dinner, easy lunch after a round, or something more local, we can point you in the right direction.
PGA West comes into its own from late fall through spring, when the days stay sunny and the evenings still feel good outdoors. This is when golf, dining outside, and longer desert mornings all make the most sense. It is also when many guests return year after year.
Many of our homes place you inside PGA West with easy access to Old Town La Quinta, the resort courses, and the wider valley. Once you have a property in mind, we can tell you exactly how it sits in relation to golf, dining, and the mountains.
Yes. PGA West works especially well for group trips because the days open up naturally. Some guests golf, others swim, rest, or head into town, and everyone still comes back together for the evening. It also suits longer winter stays very well.
That depends on the specific home and community, but many guests enjoy morning walks, neighborhood loops, and easy bike rides inside the PGA West setting. If walkability matters to you, we can help you choose a home that fits that style of stay.
Several of our PGA West homes welcome pets, with a small additional cleaning fee. We can filter to pet-friendly homes when we help you choose, and there are quiet morning loops and shaded grass areas inside the community that suit a stay with a dog.
Plans change, and a thoughtful cancellation policy is part of how we look after every guest. Terms vary by home and by season, so the policy that applies to your stay is shown in full on the reservation page when you begin a booking for any Everyday Luxury Curated listing. You can also read it in advance on our cancellation policy page (opens in a new tab). If your dates need to move, reach out early and we will do everything we can to reschedule or re-accommodate.
Yes, and that is one of the most valuable parts of booking with us. Some guests want fairway views. Others want stronger pool privacy, easier golf access, or a quieter position for a longer winter stay. We can help you find the right fit.
We are honoured by every home we steward, and grateful to the owners who continue to choose us. If you own a property at PGA West (or anywhere in the Coachella Valley) and want to learn more about how we look after homes, our team would love to hear from you. The valley has more golf courses than most cities have restaurants, and our guide tells you which ones are worth the green fee and which ones to book six months in advance. We cover the desert hikes no shuttle takes you to, the morning spots in La Quinta's Old Town before the crowds arrive, and the two restaurants in the valley that require a local's introduction. If you haven't been to PGA West before, this is where to start.
