About Everyday Luxury

Owner-operators first. Hosts always.

A company of four leaders, several team members across destinations, and a portfolio of homes Everyday Luxury owns and cares for alongside her investors. We grew this way on purpose.

For the guestThe stay you did not have to think about.

For the ownerA partner who has stood where you are standing.

For the companyA long-term view of hospitality.

Why we built it this way

A company of operators, not middlemen.

Shevy and John already owned vacation homes when they started Everyday Luxury. They started the company they wished had existed for them, the kind of management that holds the home to the same standard the owner does.

The company is still that. Most of our growth has come from owners who heard about us through someone they trust. Most of our guests came back, then told someone.

The founders

Two investors who started with their own homes.

They were the first owners we ever managed for. Everything that followed sits on top of the standard they set for their own properties.

Co-founder

John Burns

Investing in real estate since 1996. He owned and managed a hotel in Utah from 1992 to 1996, where the hospitality side of his work began. His specialty is acquiring distressed properties and improving them well at sensible cost, the kind of operator a guest can feel through the door.

The management

The two who hold the work, day after day.

Operations and accounting. The disciplines that turn a vision into stays guests can feel and books owners can trust.

How we got here

A short story, in years.

A few moments that explain how a company of operators ended up with the portfolio it has today.

  1. 1992

John owns and operates a hotel in Utah, where the hospitality discipline begins.

  2. 2003

Shevy starts investing in real estate, buying his first homes.

  3. 2015

Shevy buys his first vacation home, then several more, then realizes there is no one managing them the way an owner would.

  4. 2019

Everyday Luxury Vacation Rentals opens. Samuel joins as Operations Manager. Owner-operators decide to do this for other owners too.

  5. Today

A small team, a growing portfolio, several destinations across coast, desert, lake, mountain, and city. Still owned and operated by people who stay in the homes.

We invest where we manage

Skin in the same homes we are asking you to trust.

Everyday Luxury and her investors actively own vacation rentals in the same destinations we manage for other owners. We are still adding more, because we believe in the long-term work of hospitality. Owners weighing an investment of their own get the same advice we use ourselves.

The doors are open. To collaborations, to new owners, to anyone who believes a home is worth caring for at the level a guest can feel.
