Flour Bluff
The lodge's home neighborhood. Quiet, working, and within reach of the bay
Laguna Madre, Texas
Waterfront rooms where marina mornings set the pace
A working marina, a lodge, and an event hall on Laguna Madre, all in one place
What We Love
Bluff's Landing feels less like a hotel and more like a coastal outpost with a key to the dock. The light off Laguna Madre is brighter, flatter, and more silvery than most Gulf towns, and the whole property seems built around what the day looks like once the boats leave. Some guests come for Baffin Bay and serious fishing. Others come because they like the idea of ending every afternoon back at the water. Either way, this is a place where practical comfort and place-specific beauty meet, and we feel lucky every time a guest finds their stay through us.

Local Treasures
A few of the moments that travel home with people, beyond the slip number and the catch count. Scroll across.
First light
Twenty-five minutes south on Park Road 22. The longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island in the country opens up at dawn, before the day-trippers arrive. Ghost crabs, a flat horizon, and the kind of silence Texas saves for places with no shoulder room.
Worth the early start
An hour south of the lodge, Baffin Bay holds the seagrass flats that built the South Texas trout reputation. Hire a guide out of Riviera or push down from the Bluff's Landing ramp. The water clears as the light comes up.
A slower kind of morning
Launch from the lodge ramp on a calm morning and the lagoon goes glassy. Birds work the shallows, the wind stays low until late morning, and the route back keeps the marina in sight the whole way.
A short drive
On Corpus Christi Bay, twenty minutes from the lodge. Strong on Gulf and Caribbean species, well-built dolphin and shark habitats, and a working sea-turtle rescue centre that lets you watch rehabilitated turtles get cleared for release.
Worth the detour
Permanently berthed across the bay, the World War II carrier is one of the few you can walk in this scale. Five self-guided tours cover the flight deck, hangar, bridge, and engine rooms. Plan two hours; longer if you want the simulator.
A day off the lodge
Forty minutes north and a free ferry ride away. Port A is the small-beach-town counterpoint to Corpus, with surfable break, fish-friendly piers, and the Roberts Point Park jetty for late-afternoon dolphin watching. Lunch waterside at Virginia's on the Bay before you point the car back south.
Choose Your Stay
The accommodations at Bluff's Landing are built for early departures and easy returns: private exterior entrances, marina adjacency, and layouts that work for couples, families, and fishing groups. The live booking engine below reflects current room availability for your dates.
For couples & solo guests
A clean, comfortable king room for guests who want to be near the marina and the bay without overcomplicating the stay. It is the right answer for quick fishing trips, relaxed overnights, and unhurried coastal weekends.
For families & crews
Two full beds, practical layout, and a no-fuss approach that suits guests who care more about time on the water than excess. It is the strongest fit for small groups travelling together.
More room to land
The suite option adds breathing room for guests who want Bluff's Landing to feel a little less like a stopover and a little more like a true waterfront stay. It is especially strong for longer weekends and small families.
The Experience
Bluff's Landing is built around access: to the marina, to the lagoon, and to the quieter side of the Texas coast once the roads fall away behind you.
At first light
Some properties sit near the water. Bluff's Landing actually lives by it. The marina is not scenery here; it is the organising principle of the morning, and the reason the whole place feels purposeful before sunrise.
The wider landscape
The surrounding water is what gives this stay its identity. Serious anglers come for the legendary fishing, but even non-fishing guests feel the difference in the scale, light, and calm of the lagoon.
Beyond the room key
With a 130-guest event hall, full bar and kitchen, and sunset-facing water, Bluff's Landing also works beautifully for reunions, small celebrations, and coastal weekends that want more structure than a standard hotel can offer.
Before You Book
A few things guests ask us most often before booking a stay on the marina.
Not at all. Many guests come for the lagoon itself, for the quiet of the marina at sunset, for kayaking on calm mornings, or for a base on the way to Padre Island. The fishing culture sets the rhythm, but the property reads beautifully even if you never cast a line.
Corpus Christi International (CRP) is roughly twenty minutes inland, on the other side of the city. It runs daily flights to Houston, Dallas, and Charlotte, which covers most of the United States in one connection. San Antonio (SAT) is two hours west if you want a wider schedule.
Yes. Parking is on-property and free for overnight guests, with extra space available for boat trailers. If you are arriving with a larger rig or a boat, mention it when you reserve so the team can hold a slip near the ramp.
Standard check-in is in the mid-afternoon and check-out is mid-morning. Exact times are confirmed on your booking confirmation. Early arrivals are usually able to leave luggage and use the marina before the room is ready.
Yes. Bluff's Landing is a working marina with covered and open slips, plus a public boat ramp and trailer parking. Slip availability is seasonal, so reserve a slip alongside your room when possible. The dockmaster can help with overflow and longer-term storage.
Yes. Texas requires a saltwater fishing licence for anyone sixteen or older, available online from Texas Parks and Wildlife in advance, or in person at most local tackle shops. Day, multi-day, and annual options are all offered.
Several Baffin Bay and Laguna Madre guides operate out of Bluff's Landing or run guests directly from the ramp. Tell us what kind of trip you are after, wading the flats, drift fishing, or a half-day with kids, and we can point you toward the right people.
Yes. Pets are welcome at Bluff's Landing, subject to a per-stay pet fee. Plenty of guests bring a fishing dog or a travelling companion, and the marina grounds give them room to move once you arrive. Mention your pet when you reserve so the team can flag the right room and confirm the current fee.
Yes. The on-site event hall fits roughly 130 guests, with a stage for a band, a full bar, and a kitchen for catered service. Waterfront weddings, fishing-club reunions, and small corporate retreats all work well here. Mention the event when you reserve so the team can hold the room block alongside the venue.
The booking engine on this page is the same one Bluff's Landing uses on its own site, served live. You see real-time room availability and confirmed rates, your reservation is held by the property directly, and Everyday Luxury simply opens the door. There is no double-handling and no hidden mark-up.
Plans change, and a thoughtful cancellation policy is part of how we look after every guest. Terms can differ by room, by rate, and by season, so the policy that applies to your stay is shown in full on the booking confirmation when you reserve any Everyday Luxury Curated room or stay at Bluff's Landing. You can also read it in advance on our cancellation policy page (opens in a new tab). Group bookings, event-space holds, and peak-season weekends sometimes carry their own deposit terms; whenever they do, the team will put those in writing before you commit.

We are honoured every time a hotel of this calibre lets us send guests their way, and grateful to the team there for trusting us with the introduction.
